V - We adore You, O Christ, and bless You. My Jesus, by all the bitter woes You did Our Father.... Hail Mary.... V - Jesus Christ Crucified. Make me feel as You have felt, |
The Ninth Station: Our Cross-Bearer stumbled a third time in the dust, yet won a name which is above all names. But the hour of shame had to precede His hour of glory. So must it be for all of us, the people He has redeemed. Weariness and suffering take their toll. Jesus falls flat again. Once more he is dragged to his feet, and plods on toward Calvary. Weariness. Weariness is the alcoholic who stumbles just when he thinks he has solved the problem. Weariness is the depressed woman who feels completely abandoned by family, friends and God. Weariness is the scrupulous person who feels plunged into the depths of sin over a trifle. The name of the battle is weariness. Prayer |
