V - We adore You, O Christ, and bless You.
+ - Because by Your holy cross You have
redeemed the world.

My Jesus, by all the bitter woes You did
endure when for the third time the heavy
cross bowed You to the earth, never, I
beseech You, let me fall again into sin. Ah,
my Jesus, rather let me die than ever
offend You again.

Our Father.... Hail Mary....
Glory be to the Father....

V - Jesus Christ Crucified.
+ - Have mercy on Us.
V - May the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, Rest in peace.
+ - Amen.

Make me feel as You have felt,
Makes my soul to go and melt
With the love of Christ, my Lord.

The Ninth Station:
Jesus falls a third time

Our Cross-Bearer stumbled a third time in the dust, yet won a name which is above all names. But the hour of shame had to precede His hour of glory. So must it be for all of us, the people He has redeemed.

Weariness and suffering take their toll. Jesus falls flat again. Once more he is dragged to his feet, and plods on toward Calvary.

Weariness. Weariness is the alcoholic who stumbles just when he thinks he has solved the problem. Weariness is the depressed woman who feels completely abandoned by family, friends and God. Weariness is the scrupulous person who feels plunged into the depths of sin over a trifle. The name of the battle is weariness.

Prayer
Lord, I know something about that weariness. I recognize the symptoms when a relationship goes sour and someone I love fails to return that love. I feel that weariness when my own mediocrity settles around me once more like a blanket. Pick me up, Lord, and keep me going.
