V - We adore You, O Christ, and bless You.
+ - Because by Your holy cross You have
redeemed the world.

My Jesus, stripped of Your garments and drenched with gall, strip me of love for
things of earth, and make me loathe all
that savors of the world and sin.

Our Father.... Hail Mary....
Glory be to the Father....

V - Jesus Christ Crucified.
+ - Have mercy on Us.
V - May the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, Rest in peace.
+ - Amen.

Holy Mother, pierce me through
In my heart each wound renew
Of my Saviour crucified.

The Tenth Station:
Jesus is stripped of His garments

We purify and renew ourselves that the vision of Christ may shine more brightly in the church and the world. So we strip ourselves of deeds of darkness; we cast off all hindrances to our growth in the new life of Christ.

A poor man at birth and during his life, Jesus is poorest of all at the time of his death. Even the clothes he wears are stripped from his bleeding body.

Poverty is a way of life for millions who grub out a bare existence. Survival is all they can hope for, and sometimes even that hope vanishes. Two thousand years after Calvary, the poor are still stripped of the little they have. Am I trying to help them?

Prayer
Lord, I have more than my share of the world's goods. I find it very difficult to slake my thirst for more belongings, much less give up anything I've already accumulated. But it's not only a matter of goods. I have also been given time and talents. Help me to share what I have with those around me who need them.
