V - We adore You, O Christ, and bless You. My Jesus, stripped of Your garments and drenched with gall, strip me of
love for Our Father.... Hail Mary.... V - Jesus Christ Crucified. Holy Mother, pierce me through |
The Tenth Station: We purify and renew ourselves that the vision of Christ may shine more brightly in the church and the world. So we strip ourselves of deeds of darkness; we cast off all hindrances to our growth in the new life of Christ. A poor man at birth and during his life, Jesus is poorest of all at the time of his death. Even the clothes he wears are stripped from his bleeding body. Poverty is a way of life for millions who grub out a bare existence. Survival is all they can hope for, and sometimes even that hope vanishes. Two thousand years after Calvary, the poor are still stripped of the little they have. Am I trying to help them? Prayer |
